What you can claim in Massachusetts

🔥 Heat Pump
$2,650/ton, capped at $8,500. Add $500 for Manual J sizing + $500 for weatherization. Income-qualified: up to $16,000 (air-source) or $25,000 (ground-source).
🧱 Insulation & Air Sealing
Mass Save covers 75% of attic, wall, basement, and air-sealing costs for everyone. Income-eligible households (under 60% AMI) pay $0.
☀️ Solar (SMART 3.0)
Locked-in production payment for 10–20 years once enrolled. Rate depends on your utility's current capacity block — earlier enrollment gets a better rate.
🔋 Battery Storage
A 15kWh battery earns a $1,500 capacity rebate, plus SMART storage adder ($0.04–0.06/kWh) and annual ConnectedSolutions demand-response payments.
💧 Water Heater
Heat pump water heater rebate. ENERGY STAR certified equipment required.
🪟 Windows & Doors
Replace single-pane windows with ENERGY STAR Most Efficient certified windows.
🚘 EV Charger
Toward purchase and installation of a qualifying Level 2 home EV charger.

Often installed free during your home energy assessment.
💰 HEAT Loan
Up to $25,000, 0% interest, 0% fees, 7-year term. Covers your out-of-pocket costs after rebates.
