HomePowerRebate is an independent information service for British Columbia homeowners. We explain rebate and incentive programs for heat pumps, solar, batteries, water heaters, insulation, and EV chargers, and — when you request it — we match you with 2–4 vetted local installers. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, BC Hydro, FortisBC, the Province of BC, the Government of Canada, or any manufacturer.
2. Information only — not professional advice
Everything on this site is general information, not professional, financial, legal, tax, or engineering advice. Rebate amounts, eligibility rules, and program deadlines change often and vary by home and utility. Always confirm current details with the official program (for example, BetterHomes BC or BC Hydro) and a qualified contractor before making decisions or spending money. Our estimates are rough illustrations, not guarantees.
3. No guarantee of rebates or eligibility
We do not decide, approve, or pay rebates. Final eligibility and amounts are determined solely by the relevant programs and utilities. We can't guarantee you'll qualify for any particular rebate or amount.
4. Installer matching
If you ask to be matched, we share your contact details with 2–4 local installers so they can reach out. Please note:
- The installer is an independent business. Any quote, contract, work, warranty, and payment are strictly between you and them.
- We don't perform installations and don't guarantee an installer's pricing, workmanship, timelines, or that a rebate application will be approved.
- We encourage you to do your own due diligence before signing anything.
5. Your responsibilities
Please give accurate information when you use our forms, and use the site only for lawful, personal purposes. Don't attempt to disrupt, scrape, or misuse the site.
