Is there a heat pump or furnace rebate in Alberta?
Not from the province. We also couldn't find a current published heat pump or furnace rebate from ENMAX, ATCO or EPCOR in September 2026. Utility offers can appear and disappear, so call yours before you buy. Your real options are CEIP financing (if your city has room) and, for new mortgages, CMHC Eco Plus, a partial refund of mortgage insurance premiums for energy-efficient homes.

CEIP is a loan, not free money. You pay it back with interest. It can cover up to 100% of an eligible project, up to $50,000, over up to 20 years. You must be approved before work starts. (CEIP program locations)

Red Deer's city rebate for an ENERGY STAR smart thermostat. Apply by Dec 31, 2026. None elsewhere.

Are there furnace rebates in Alberta?
We found none from the province or from ENMAX, ATCO or EPCOR in September 2026. CEIP may finance a qualifying heating upgrade if your city's program is open.
