Short answer: NYS Clean Heat is New York's heat pump rebate, paid through your electric utility. For an air-source heat pump in a single-family home, Con Edison, National Grid, NYSEG and RG&E pay up to $10,000 (more in disadvantaged communities), Orange & Rockland up to $9,000 and Central Hudson up to $8,000. You must use a participating contractor. Long Island (PSEG) runs its own program.
