Common questions

Does a Tesla Powerwall qualify for the BC Hydro rebate?

No. Tesla products have been ineligible since March 12, 2025, so a Powerwall gets $0 from the battery rebate. It can still earn Peak Saver credits.

Can I get the BC Hydro heat pump rebate if I heat with gas?

No. BC Hydro's heat pump rebate is for replacing electric heat. Homes switching from gas, oil or propane can look at CleanBC's income-qualified rebates.

I'm in Kelowna. Can I get BC Hydro rebates?

Only if BC Hydro is your electric utility. FortisBC electric customers aren't eligible for BC Hydro rebates and use FortisBC's own offers.
