Short answer: Most Efficiency Nova Scotia rebates now go through a Home Energy Assessment ($199): any homeowner can get up to $5,000 for the upgrades it recommends, including $300 to $500 per ton for a new heat pump and up to $750 for attic insulation. Heat pump water heaters get $800, instantly at the store. Moderate-income homes that don't heat with electricity can add up to $5,000 more. The oil-to-heat-pump program and SolarHomes are closed.
