Short answer: CleanBC's Energy Savings Program is for income-qualified BC homes. Switching from gas, oil or propane to a heat pump pays $13,000, $7,000 or $3,500 depending on your income level, plus a $3,000 top-up for levels 1 and 2 in northern BC. Homes switching from electric heat can get up to $5,000 at income level 1. These rules apply to invoices from July 6, 2026.

The Energy Savings Program is income-qualified. If you heat with electricity, BC Hydro's rebate of up to $4,000 doesn't have an income test.
Only at income level 1 in northern BC: $13,000 plus the $3,000 northern top-up. Most homes get less.
