How much you get
Smart thermostat rebate
Instant rebate at checkout, or mail-in after purchase.
Eligible brands are ecobee, Google Nest, Honeywell Home, Copeland Sensi, Mysa, and Sinopé. This is one of the few rebates on this page that doesn't require a home energy assessment — it's a flat $100, and either the retailer applies it instantly or you mail in your receipt afterward.
No local top-up in Niagara Falls
We checked the City of Niagara Falls directly and found no municipal thermostat program stacked on top of this. Your electricity utility, Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI), runs a general "Save on Energy" programs hub with other conservation incentives, but we could not independently confirm a separate thermostat-specific dollar figure from it, so we're not listing one here.
Compare smart thermostats you can buy
A good share of Niagara Falls' housing is older tourist-era construction near the falls itself, where a thermostat with its own room sensor helps correct for drafty single-pane windows.
- Ships with a remote SmartSensor to catch cold or hot rooms
- Pairs with central air, gas furnaces, and most heat pumps
- Learns your schedule after about a week
- Farsight display shows time, weather, and temperature from across the room
- Comes with a Smart Room Sensor to balance uneven rooms
- Uses your phone location to know when to ease off
- App stays out of your way with a clean, basic layout
- Installs without an added C-wire in most homes
- Built for electric baseboard and in-floor heat, not just forced air
- Canadian company, Matter-compatible
- Handles electric baseboard and in-floor radiant heat well
- Wi-Fi direct, skips the extra hub other ecosystems need
Prices are approximate manufacturer list prices and change — check the brand's site for current pricing.

How much is the smart thermostat rebate in Niagara Falls?
$125, either as an instant rebate at checkout or a mail-in rebate after purchase. Eligible brands are ecobee, Google Nest, Honeywell Home, Copeland Sensi, Mysa, and Sinopé.
Does Niagara Falls have its own thermostat incentive on top of the provincial one?
No confirmed one. We checked the City of Niagara Falls directly and found no municipal thermostat program. NPEI, the local electricity utility, has a general Save on Energy programs hub, but we couldn't confirm a specific thermostat dollar figure from it.
Your utility: Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI)
Niagara Falls' electricity distributor is Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI), not Alectra Utilities — NPEI is a separate LDC covering Niagara Falls, Lincoln, Pelham, and West Lincoln. NPEI runs a general Save on Energy conservation hub, but we could not confirm a dedicated smart thermostat demand-response dollar figure on its site, so don't count on utility money beyond the $125 provincial rebate below.
