Eligible brands and models

Common questions
Does Oshawa have a smart thermostat rebate right now?
Yes. Every household in Oshawa can claim the $125 Home Renovation Savings Program rebate on a qualifying thermostat, either as an instant discount at checkout or by submitting a receipt after buying. It's a one-time-per-household rebate, so pick one path and stick with it.
What thermostat brands are eligible in Oshawa?
Six brands are currently eligible under the provincial program: ecobee, Google Nest, Honeywell Home, Copeland Sensi, Mysa, and Sinopé. The exact qualifying models change occasionally, so confirm the specific model number against the program's list rather than assuming every unit from those brands counts.
Your utility: Oshawa Power
Oshawa's electricity distributor is Oshawa Power (legally Oshawa PUC Networks Inc.), a municipally owned utility distinct from Elexicon Energy, which serves neighbouring Whitby, Ajax, and Clarington instead. Oshawa Power has not published its own smart thermostat demand-response bonus, so the $125 rebate below, from the provincial program, is what to expect here rather than a utility top-up.
