Markham runs on Alectra Utilities electricity and Enbridge Gas. The province's Home Renovation Savings Program (HRSP) is identical here to the rest of Ontario — the same categories and tiers as Toronto and Ottawa.

Markham doesn't have a municipal loan or rebate program yet. The City is running a joint feasibility study with Richmond Hill to shape a future home energy retrofit program, but nothing is live as of this writing.
