The honest answer: no dedicated HRV rebate in Brampton
Ontario's provincial Home Renovation Savings Program (HRSP), delivered through Enbridge Gas and local electric utilities like Alectra Utilities in Brampton, covers heat pumps, insulation, windows and doors, air sealing, solar, smart thermostats, and a handful of appliances. Heat recovery ventilators and energy recovery ventilators are not on that eligible-measures list, whether installed on their own or alongside another upgrade. This isn't a technicality or a paperwork gap — we checked the program's own eligible-upgrades documentation directly, and ventilation equipment simply doesn't appear in either its assessment-required or no-assessment-required tiers.
Brampton's rapid growth in newer subdivisions means many homes already have builder-installed HRVs from Ontario Building Code requirements, so the rebate gap shows up mostly for older Brampton homes retrofitting one in.
HRSP has no HRV/ERV category for Brampton homeowners, standalone or paired with another upgrade.
